Stanislav Kalitskiy over-comes Mirzamukhammad Khikmatullaev

In Russia Yesterday fight fans saw promising young Kazakh fighter Stanislav Kalitskiy (5-0, 3) continue to his perfect start as he took a 6 round decision win over Uzbek debutant Mirzamukhammad Khikmatullaev (0-1).

The Kazakh fighter, who hadn't who hadn't fought since February when he defeated Denis Lashin, was returning from an injury and didn't look as good as he had in the past. Even going as far as to state he was unhappy with his own performance after the contest ended.

Despite the less than great bout Kalitskiy will be happy to have gotten the win and to have bounce back from an injury with a win. He will also, if we're being honest, be glad to have gotten 6 rounds of action given such a long break.

As for Khikmatullaev a loss won't be the ideal way to begin his professional career, however he showed enough to get excited about his potential going forward, and he is certainly a decent fighter worth following, despite his early career set back. He will almost certainly rebuild following this loss and should be added on to a fight fans watch list going forward.
